River Trip!!

 Good evening my friends!

Tonight, we jet-setted for Italy! Sicily to be specific. We are exploring the Anapo River.

The Anapo River has ancient Greek roots- the name coming from the term "swallowed up"- as there are many points that the river runs underground. Look at how serene this grotto area looks!

This river is 25 miles long, and in ancient times, these waters fed into an aqueduct in Syracuse. In modern times, these waters now powers a hydroelectric dam.
There are various sights to see along the waterway including Sicilian mansions, and the famed necropolis of Pantalica. (Here is the link to the BEAUTIFUL Sicilian mansion for sale if you have an extra $2 mil to toss around, lol  Sicilian Mansion For Sale )
The Necropolis is a cemetery dating back to the 7th century thought to house over 5,000 tombs!!

Have you ever been to Italy before? Please leave a comment and let me know!
See you all tomorrow!
